I had the priveledge of listening to Dan Cathy, president of Chic-fil-A, speak this morning and was reminded of why I love this company. Not only do I love their chicken sandwiches, but I love the principles upon which the company was built. And who doesn't love the cows? (Personally, I think they should have used elk - b/c it would have been cool to see elk parachuting into the stadium in this commercial! But they didn't ask me.)
I also learned that they give free Chic-fil-A for a year for the First 100 customers when a new store is opened. I'm trying to convince my husband to camp out in Denver.. So, far it hasn't worked.
One thing that I've been pondering from what Dan said this morning was the statement.. "When external change exceeds internal change, is when disaster happens." He was referring mainly to business practices, but I think it applies to your personal life also. Something to think about.
And just for fun here is Tim Hawkins. Pause the music below before listening...
Dan Cathy? What happened to Truett? We love that place too... you know there is ONE in MN... at the U of M. So, if you're ever back in town and need a fix... there ya go!
ReplyDeleteBTW, the chapels always rocked at Focus (totally assuming that's where you heard this guy speak). Glad you still are enjoying them... almost a decade since I was working there. Has it been that long?!
